Not much more than a decade ago, the China-Belarus Industrial Park was just an idea. Development of the park dates back to May 12, 2015, when an inspection tour of the area by leaders of China and Belarus accelerated its progress.

Highlighting the sixth anniversary of the China-Belarus Industrial Park, a promotion activity of Sinomach’s torch park project was organized on May 12, as was a visit to the achievements of Sinomach in the park’s construction and a tree planting activity to mark China-Belarus friendship.

After six years of efforts, the park, a landmark project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), has completed the first-stage of its infrastructure construction over 8.5 square kilometers, and is stepping into high-quality development with fruitful results in construction and investment promotion.

At present, 70 companies from 14 countries have set up their business here, with an agreed investment of more than 1.2 billion dollars.

Construction and operation of industrial parks such as Sinomach Torch Park, the China-Belarus Trade and Logistics Park Exhibition Center and the China-Belarus Center for Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements are in full swing. In addition, construction of perfect living facilities has been put on the agenda in a bid to provide better living conditions for the employees of enterprises in the park.

As a model of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Belarus, the park, during its construction, employed thousands of local people and stimulated consumption in dozens of sectors such as building materials, mechanical equipment and engineering supplies.

Many projects included in the park won the Award for Engineering Excellence in Belarus, and one won the 2018 China Construction Engineering Luban Prize (Overseas Projects).

In addition, the park was named the best special economic zone involved in the Belt and Road Initiative in the Global Free Economic Zone Ratings 2020 held by fDi Magazine, the world’s premier publication for the business of globalization.

In the future, the park intends to evolve into an international and livable industrial center equipped with schools, hospitals and shopping malls.
