Overseas efforts beefed up to promote BRI development

Efforts are being made by Sinomach to boost its major projects, coordinate its onshore and offshore business to further ties between domestic and international markets, and to aid the establishment of the dual circulation pattern, with a focus on countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

CAMCE inks restoration project of 220kV cross-river power lines in Kenya

Sinomach subsidiary China CAMC Engineering Co Ltd (CAMCE) and Kenya Electricity Transmission Company, the transmission system operator in Kenya, recently signed a deal to restore the 220 kilovolts (kV) electric transmission line across the Sabaki River in Kenya.

The project is set to repair the Malindi-Gasen section of the line which was washed away by river diversion. It has a total length of about 6.1 kilometers. After completion it will guarantee the quality and stability of power supply in its service areas.

Particle-board plant debuts first deal in South Africa

An integrated particle-board plant in South Africa, built by China Foma (Group) Co Ltd (China Foma), has gone into production. The production of particle-board plant makes use of the abundant wood resources in the region and the remains of the surrounding wood processing plants.

China Foma, a subsidiary of Sinomach, was tasked with the design of infrastructure and production line equipment, as well as equipment supply such as the particle-board production line. It will be also responsible for equipment installation and debugging.

The project, when fully completed, will greatly increase the economic added value of local wood resources and play a leading role in the upgrading of the local wood processing industry.

CHMC’s hydropower project makes important advances in Laos

The major components of the Laos Nam Ngum 4 Hydropower Project such as turbine runners, water distributors and generator bars, produced by Sinomach subsidiary China National Heavy Machinery Corporation, recently passed the pre-delivery inspection process, a precondition for the station’s mechanical and electrical installation engineering and operation.

The project has now reached peak production. As an important Laotian energy facility, it will help enhance the country’s generating capacity and power infrastructure.
